Choosing the Right Study Programme
Egypt has well-respected institutions and provides a multicultural environment. The universities in Egypt offer many study programmes. Students must follow the below mentioned steps in order to “Choose the Right Programme”.
Steps to follow:
Research
Research about the course and institution you want to pursue. Visit the official websites of the universities and get the programme details, university information, and other details, such as admission requirements, fee structure, financial assistance, and so on.
Decide and Apply
After you have researched thoroughly about the programme and institution, choose the university and programme who wish to take up. Check the admission requirements and apply before deadline.
General Admission Requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: Students must possess a General Secondary Education Certificate (GSEC) or the Al-Azhar General Secondary Certificate. Grades may vary depending on the qualification undertaken, but will generally be a score of 70% or better (Tawjihiyah / Thanawiya amma)
For Master’s degree: The standard requirement is that the candidate must hold a bachelor degree in a related specialization or its equivalent.
For Doctorate degree: The standard requirement is that the candidate must hold a Master’s degree in a related specialization.
English Language Proficiency
Candidates must demonstrate their English language proficiency for admission into Egyptian Universities. TOEFL/
IELTS results are accepted.

Apply for Scholarships

Apply for Visa
After you have got the admission, apply for a
visa at the Egyptian consulate in your country of origin.
Pre-Departure Checklist
Points to be considered prior to arrival:- Enrollment Letter: Carry the enrollment letter that is issued by the university along with you.
- Carry the passport
- Apply for visa
- Apply for scholarship (if required)
- Book airline tickets
- Arrange for accommodation and have proof of sufficient financial means
